There are so many ways to eat oatmeal, and to be honest, I am not a huge fan of oatmeal. Ive tried eating it with so many different things, fruits, toppings, etc… I then learned about overnight oats! It is so good! It keeps me full for hours, helps me go to the bathroom, and gives me energy throughout the day! I used to eat my overnight oats so simple, until I learned about so many other recipes! I have tried so many, there were some overnight oats recipes that were a complete fail for me, and some that I can eat every day for like a week! I decided to try and make my own, too, and some worked out and some did not do so well.

I decided I wanted to share some of my favorite and simple overnight oats recipes! Why not share what I love with you amazing people that share a love for cold oats over hot oatmeal!
The Basic Overnight Oat
Well, my overall favorite, the one that I make when I do not really have anything at home, and is super basic is I get my mason jar, pour however much overnight oats (both quick and original work out), I use the quick oats. After you pour the amount of oats you want, put almond milk right to the top of your oats. (if you want it more wet, pour more milk). And thats it! Put it in the fridge. The next morning, put honey and cinnamon, mix it around, and put either strawberries or bananas! So good and simple!
The Base for Others –
So, in your mason jar, put about half a cup of oats and half a cup of almond milk (or milk of your choice but I love almond milk). Then, pour about a tablespoon of maple syrup and about 2 teaspoons of chia seeds. Stir them up and place them in the fridge! (it is best to cover them with the lid, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to.
Peanut Butter –
If you like peanut butter, with the base you can add either peanut butter or peanut butter powder. If you want it more sweet, you can add honey or a but more maple syrup. Depending on your preference, you can add this in before you place the mason jar inside the refrigerator, or after! If you want to make it peanut butter banana, you guess it! Add banana, but after the refrigerator so it comes out more fresh and not so mushy. Oh, you can also add some mini peanut butter cups the next morning – if you don’t want to be too healthy haha.
Cinnamon Apple
With the base, you can either add a small dollop of applesauce or fresh diced apples – with a dash of cinnamon, or to spice it up a little bit, you can do a really small amount of nutmeg or some pumpkin pie spice – add it with the base as you mix and place it in the fridge!
Chocolate
So, with this, for the base I don’t like to add maple syrup. I just add the oats and milk and chia seeds, with a really small amount of cocoa powder. Mix that and put it in the fridge. The next morning, I also add some chocolate chips 🙂
Strawberry
With strawberry, I also don’t like to put the maple syrup in the base. But you can add a hint of strawberry jam into the base and leave it overnight, or, like I mentioned in my favorite, just add fresh strawberries to the top!

These are some of my favorite easy overnight oats recipes – but I am sure you know there is so much more out there! I am always exploring and trying new flavors, so I will keep you all updated with the best!
